Although the growth of the internet in Belize is still relatively small, it is growing. The latest figures as of 2007 are:

38,000 Internet users as of March, 2007 (12.2% of the population, according to ITU)
The growth rate of internet usage has been increasing and will likely continue to increase in the future since the options for internet access are on the rise.

However, many industries in Belize sell to customers outside the country and it is in this area that perhaps the use of the internet has it greatest potential.
As can be seen from the growth rates listed in the table, use of the internet is increasing dramatically throughout the world. Therefore any business that has international clients needs to use the Internet to effectively promote its products and/or services because, even if you do not, your competitors certainly will!!
